Haven't done such yet, well at least not to such a level. It's hard to get time to do more than the basic studies of vocab/grammar before even touching immersion. Really daft though because to really use a language you have to listen to it at the very least. I've been set back somewhat the past while, but once I find sense of stability, I'll find my footing again I figure.

You help motivate me to doing more though, so cheers!

Lemme know if you are interested in any comedy skit. I have a bunch saved up. They talk fast but with subtitles, pauses and other effort I'm able to make progress in learning.

I'd be interested to hear of them, but I can't say I'd be able for them at my current level at least. I have tons of Japanese related media that I am targeting for when I get competent at. I'm very slow so it might be another 2-3 years before I'm even N3 though, so, keep that in mind.

Somehow I thought you were into German... hmmm. Well, I do watch a lot of anime. But I'm not sure how useful that is for language learning (I never tried to learn Japanese).

I have been getting into German VTubers though. Between music, anime, video game topics, lets plays and such, the German VTubing community actually has a lot of interests that line up with my own. Japan is basically the origin of VTubers, so maybe you can give them a shot?

At least the German VTubers seem to have simpler and more colloquial language than "normal" German.

You know what, fair. German is on my to-do list of languages, but not for another very good long while, and other languages are ahead of that too, so it might be a few decades until then. So can't say I'd remember German links here then anyway.

I do tend to dip my toes into the Japanese Vtubing scene as a viewer to see what the hubub is. That being said, VTubing has become quite saturated lately, so I can't say I'd find the right streamer off the bat, so will take some time. German VTubing does sound interesting as well, mind. What'd I'd love more than either JP/SP/DE/etc Vtubers would be Irish, because at the moment there's only a very few people in the Irish streaming scene doing it as Gaeilge, so being a Vtuber as well would honestly be kick ass. Maybe in the next 10 or so years something might pop up? Who knows.
