You can fold one from an old paper in case of emergency so you don't have to keep the plastic ones.
There was the scene in Perfect Days, where the protagonist sees a small plant, so he opens his wallet to get a some paper out of it. He unfolds it and it turns out to be a paper flower pot that he used to take the plant home.
