Both of the people I was talking to tried to defend Obama's continued occupation of Afghanistan, so I'd consider myself justified in going off the rails. Or rather, they're the one's that went off the rails.
How anyone could defend the pointless killing of hundreds of thousands of people, especially now, when it's undeniable that it accomplished nothing, is hard to comprehend. How anyone could do so while thinking that they're anywhere remotely near the left, or that they have even a sliver of morality in their body, is beyond me entirely.
