this is what wealthy private conservative Catholic universities are like. It's for when you're from a wealthy Catholic family (tuition is $31k per year with private admissions) and you don't want your kid learning anything other than social etiquette and networking with other fancy rich Catholics. No one going to Thomas Aquinas College needs to study trades or stem or really anything of modern intellectual value because they have parents who are loaded. They're all going to work at their dad's construction company or law firm or whatever after university.
I went to a much less wealthy public university whose main degree plan was petroleum engineering and that's where the most conservative students were, but they were all either evangelicals or not religious.
Fun story: so the petroleum engineering students all had to take geology and apparently young earth creationism was so rampant among the students that one of the professors set up every exam to be basically impossible to pass unless you answered in the affirmative, multiple times, that the Earth is 4.54 billion years old. And apparently that would weed out at least 10 students every year.
