Hello everybody. Hope you all have had a good weekend. This week I played Ace Combot 7 for the first time. I have not played any previous Ace Combat games. I realize that I missed my calling in life and should have been a fighter pilot. Hope you all have a good week ahead

Very much still learning. The closest club to me lets all styles shoot (saw someone with what I think was a Mongolian horsebow the other week) but only has resources to teach target recurve, so that's what I'm doing. I'll stick with that until I get my technique down and distance and draw weight up, then think about other styles.

I got a little takedown bow for target shooting. Maybe 35 or so. I want to go a hit heavier but it is fun even though I am terrible. The park near me had a pile of used carpets or the like that the city keeps up as an archery range so that is super cute even though it is harder than it seems so far

I'm still using the club bows at 24# or so, really focusing on technique and precision more than accuracy or distance. If you really want to improve I'd say it's probably worth it to get at least a couple lessons; sure you can watch tutorials and practice on your own, but it's entirely possible to develop bad habits that way. Having someone external observe and say "actually no, your hand should be doing this" or whatever will catch errors you don't even know you're making.

The thing I'm finding helps the most is to not actually worry much about hitting the target. The bow will do that for you if you operate it correctly.
