He'll literally obliterate an entire city and everyone in it because it's unwelcoming and full of sinners.

"Unwelcoming" is a severe understatement, but really all you really need to say if you're bringing up Bible stories is that He flooded the world and killed virtually everything. There are also other instances of city-leveling that was ordered by God rather than done by Him directly.
