It got sold off, at a massive discount, to a different distributer who decided to put it in theaters. Your solution is to punish the people that took a risk on a movie that another studio decided (for bullshit reasons) wasn't good enough to release.

    It never ceases to amaze me how badly people understand copyright/IP and tax. This is a rare occasion with both at the same time, complimented by verbal abuse.

    The above poster is clearly behaving like a dumbass but the reason so many people misunderstand those concepts has a lot to do with how contradictory the laws are to our intuitive notions of reasonableness and fairness.
