Though the jury’s still out on the most effective solution, one thing is clear: harsher prison sentences for drunk drivers don’t translate to fewer DUI offenders on the road.

But how can they drive from behind bars? Also, why let them get a driving license ever again?

    Yea driving is a privilege, we stopped treating it as such. We treat it like its a divine right. There are a whole lot of people that dont need a drivers license. Multiple DUIs, reckless driving, multiple accidents i mean we could really just start yoinking them for anything. We use to be pretty strict about pulling it after multiple speeding tickets.

    Yeah, well, they get released after a few months. And then they buy or get a car and drive without a license... And in some places lacking good mass transit, driving without a license actually makes logistical sense (although is simultaneously terrible idea because when you get caught you're fucked).
