[Video] Israel forward Saied Abu Farchi was sent off for celebrating his goal against Austria in their 3-1 ⁠Nations League defeat by using the corner flag to simulate a gun.

Abu Farchi headed home in the 55th minute to bring Israel level after Austria had taken the lead through a Romano Schmid penalty before half-time at the Raiffeisen Arena in Linz.

Actually, removing the corner flag is a bookable offence, and that was his second booking therefore a mandatory red card. It had bothing to do with the gesture itself, which was indeed vulgar and repugnant, and he should receive a lengthy ban for that alone.

    5 Irish players reported to be refusing to play now, in Hungary.

    They haven't come out of their hotel room, 3 hours late for a meeting with UEFA on TV, almost two hours late for training, and no signs of any staff, or equipment on the training ground.

    This will be fucking amazing if they refuse to play.
