I've been hearing about this mayo for browning thing. Your picture may have convinced me to try it. Do you also use butter or just sub mayo?

    Sounds interesting, Mayo is mostly oil so if sounds logical I guess.

    Just mayo. I was a skeptic and then I tried it and it offers the absolute best results of all the alternatives.

    You just put mayo like you would with butter and fry it? Also why mayo and npt e.g. butter

    You just slather it on just like butter and fry it. It browns the bread better than anything else. I used to use butter or olive oil. But mayo just offers results that were so superior that I cook go back.
