I recently started paying more attention to my blood pressure because of some new meds, and I was actually shocked how easy it is to measure it in the US. Pretty much any pharmacy let's you measure it for free. I ended up buying a monitor to use at home, and it was less than $20.

Before this though, I had no idea about these things. I didn't even know what the numbers meant, any time a nurse would tell me during a checkup.
