Why would USA leave NATO? NATO is only to project US power and to subjugate non-western aligned countries into submission. It was never a defensive pact but rather an offensive one. It has never fought defensively, ever.

Not to mention, NATO's founding leadership were all former high-ranking Nazi officials from Nazi Germany.
