Funnily enough, it's actually commies who have that tradition - the "socialist kiss". There's a photo of Leonid Brezhnev and Erich Honecker doing it that gets posted all the time by Tumblr "yaoisheviks" shippers. Tbf to them, it does look very "old man yaoi" at a glance.
