In the US, 92 percent of adults are actively avoiding going to the doctor because they can’t even afford copays if they have insurance, never mind those without, so I’m assuming the number is much higher here.

    This study was specifically in England, so probably not directly applicable to the US given the disparity in healthcare access. I'm inclined to agree that the percentage of adults in the US with undiagnosed high blood pressure is probably higher.

    More than one-third of adults in England have high blood pressure and two-thirds of these are unaware of their diagnosis according to a new study of 1.4 million adults published in BMJ Public Health.
