on the other side of the spectrum, the existence of "chat" in twitch streams reduces humans to single entity, without any humanity ascribed to a person typing there, the messages are fleeting, the rush of parasociality is rare and toxic when they are treated as a human for a moment.

so from both ends of the spectrum text messages become humanized where they shouldn't be and dehumanized were they shouldn't (exist)
