Look this is funny and all, but the title isn't quite accurate.
"Canceled After No One Wanted to Pay $1000 to Go" would be accurate.
I think the full truth makes a more interesting headline than this partially true headline.

    That a hundredish people did pay $1000 to go for several years in a row, and now in 2026 things have changed in a way that they won't pay this year, makes it more encouraging to me than if this were a fizzled startup attempt. Hopefully it's a sign the broader MAGA coalition is losing steam.
