It's a rant of!

The meaning of words change. For example, 'atom' means undivisible which was thought to be the case when the term was coined. Since then we've discovered that the atom is in fact divisible. In the same way, when the term 'universe' was first introduced, it was thought of to be all-encompassing. Now, a multiverse hasn't been proven, and might very well be unprovable, but if it ever happens, the term will continue to be used, despite being a linguistic oxymoron. Just like the atom.
