Anyone here tried busking for (partailly) financing a trip? (lemmy.ml)

I thought about that a few times now. Packing my ukulele or a small guitar and perform on the streets when i tour. I am just wondering how well that pays out, especially in different parts of the world and what the legal restrictions are in different countries. Anyone have experience with this?

This is generally in very bad taste.You are trying to finance your leisure tour by jumping into the local's economy to grab some goodwill money.

    I guess that depends on how you encroach on turf or interact with other buskers, but many cultures have a tradition of travelling performers, and the news is full of artists on tour.

    I, for one, welcome performers from afar, whether they be famous or solo buskers or just rank amateurs who have an urge. Just don't be incompetent.
