I thought it was funny to take songs that I find earworms, think "I'll never be royal" or "Hello," and I listened to each back to back. I honestly thought they'd cancel each other out. The winner took over for weeks. It sucks.

I've had some success in transmitting my earworms to friends at work. I tend to get silly things like the brady bunch or puff the magic dragon in my head. By singing them at someone else I have managed to exorcise the worm and share the 'joy'.
