Well, the main point is that capital largely operates outside of bourgeois control. I think it's more useful to treat it as such.

Like, think about probably the biggest blunder in history: the transfer of the industrial sector of the US to China.

The Amerikan industrial sector was the defining factor of the US hegemony. It was what allowed the New Deal and the victory over the USSR to happen.

And they handed it over. Because it was profitable.

So I don't think treating the bourgeoisie as an organized class is very useful for communists. they are dangerous, sure, but it's mostly because they have the same goal of screwing over the proletariat. Other than that, they have their own struggles between themselves.

Given these points, a New New Deal probably isn't gonna happen. Again, because they literally handed over what allowed it to happen.

I do agree here, and I hope you're right. We have seen much noise from American capitalists about moving manufacturing out of China and, ideally, back to the United States (not happening right now because of labor cost / profit margin issues) or to other Global South countries like Vietnam (with its socialist-oriented market economy, because they learned nothing from their debacle with China's market socialism).

Again, the magical capitalist dream of AGI is that the fully automated factories will be so cheap to run because of no labor costs that they can bring manufacturing back in the USA. It is the deus ex machina they hope will fix everything and guarantee U.S. dominance forever.
