My car is a 2023 and has a turn-key ignition, so pushbutton ignition wasn't completely standard yet at that point.

    Yeah, it's a gradual process. I'm a bit surprised that in 2023 it wasn't yet universal. I'm just saying that that feature probably first appeared between 2000 and 2010, so maybe even a quarter century ago, but it still seems new.
