I'm no chess player but I think the joke is white can checkmate black through en passant, which is exceptionally rare.

    h6 is a dark square, the white player's bishop is a light square bishop.

    Sorry, I was commenting about one step earlier - checkmate happens the moment en passant is played, because black's F pawn is gone and white's E pawn is now at F6, leaving the path open for the bishop.
