You can lower the volume of those piezo alarms by putting a 6-32 screw through the hole. It will push on the diaphragm on the inside and muffle the vibrations. You can actually dial in the volume you want by turning the screw just right. Or just kill it with fire

    Or you can do like I did and lose that frequency range of your hearing. I no longer hear the washer or dryer or the microwave.....Problem solved!
