Everyone thought leader in MAGA is trying to time the crash. As the train gets further from the rails, some members take their profits and leave, claiming to have had their eyes opened finally or whatever. This has a side effect of leaving the more reckless in charge of the MAGA faithful. Some of them think there is yet more juice to be squeezed from the globe, for those bold enough and strong enough to squeeze it. Some of them are in too deep and believe they can't leave, not now. They are the ones that would destroy the world before realizing a loss.
