Years of social media conditioning. People are scared to post what they want lest they be de-platformed. That's where "unalived" and "grape" come from.

    yea ok. then i'm again at a point where I don't get censoring at all. We all know that "to unalive" means "kill" and even a kid would get that. We all know when a person on TV says FUCK when they put a little beep over the U but we still hear the F and CK sound.

    So if we all keep doing/saying ""bad"" things but now in badly cropped memes or barely censored, then who are we doing this for? For the algorithm which would flag this automatically?

    I agree with you that self censoring by way of developing algo-safe speak... is very fucking silly to do in places where that actual censoring doesn't exist.

    But!

    In at least this case, I think the shitty crop makes it funnier, in the way a badly shot or framed picture can imply hurriedness or lack of skill or care.
