The irony of the "dew yer ahn reeeserch!" brigade is that they then to proceed to....watch some Youtuber or some talking head on Faux, listen to a fringe podcast or hate radio, or read rando blogs.
Which is nothing at all like actual research.
I just literally saw an example of this on Nextdoor - the topic of climate change came up, and of course some idiot mentions the geoengineering conspiracy theory [1], links to a Youtube video and demands everyone reading needs to "research" the claims of "so-called science" before they make themselves look stupid. 🤣
[1] I find it awfully curious how many people seem to have pivoted to this now after hearing for decades how it was "arrogant" (LOL) to think that humans could cause climate change. Because something something Jesus, was the supposed rationale that this was "arrogant"?
It always was so very stupid, but now so many seem to have taken up this mantra that now it is not only NOT "arrogant" to suppose that humans could cause climate change, but that some humans are doing this without anyone but the conspiracy theorists knowing and for some nefarious unstated purpose. /infinite_facepalm
