The only value you are talking about is the book value, that all cars tend to lose over time making the whole idea of shopping with that in mind strange and pointless.

    We are discussing real world depreciation, a mark-to-market degradation in value. Book is only relevant to any financing, and if you are negative equity and lack the funds to bridge the gap.
