Yep! You nailed it. There's also plenty of other people who can't make it to the polling place to vote. This applies to me because I'm disabled in ways that make it infeasible. There are also people who are caring for those who are disabled in a way that they cannot be left alone safely.

Who do you think we're more likely to vote for? The people who keep trying everything they can to take away the help and systems that keep us disabled people alive? Not without a lot of brainwashing... although that unfortunately does happen. Bleh.

Inb4 someone says "but you are guaranteed time off"

Because you get unpaid time off and most people can't afford that time off.

And politicians know this, too. Just another hurdle.

Yeah, not having time to actually vote, making it harder and reducing turnout is the primary reason, not having time to think it secondary by a mile.
