If your game isnt in a state where it can be finished in 2 years (and i'm being very fucking generous with that 2 year window), then it doesnt fucking belong on early access.

    I agree completely with your sentiment. You know that a developer can just arbitrarily declare their game "complete" just as easy as "early access" though right?

    yeah, and thats an excellent way to get mass refunded to oblivion. because I doubt steam is going to deny refunds for a game that defrauds the early access system.

    Well then you're relying on the user who has played a game for a hundred hours, to be honest. From what I've sern, most people who put in a large amount of ea time, do not stick around long into the release if at all. I imagine most of them would just refund the game whether it is truly complete or not.
