The aging oil pipeline under the Straits of Mackinac has to be shut down, and enbridge's plan to encase it in a tunnel is just bullshit to allow business as usual while they fillibuster the state from shutting it down in the courts.

It's already really damaged, big holidays (the word for lesions on a pipeline or whatever,) some as large as dinner plates. Enbridge said it was fine before that, an independent group went down there and filmed it and showed they were lying.

Not even automatic shut off valves that kick in if the pressure drops. And it's the same company that already had a spill in battle creek michigan while the BP gulf rupture was still raging. And never cleaned up.

Yeah, Canada should fuck off with their oil. If they insist on drilling, refine it yourselves. The great lakes are more valuable than your stupid oil. That is one gripe but there are plenty of others.
