Every time I've been in a hospital the past several years, the emergency room has been packed and emergency beds are overflowing into the hallways. People are putting off healthcare until it becomes a literal emergency. It's grim out there.

    My dentist told me he recently had a patient who nearly died of a heart attack apparently because he had a tooth infection and put off going to the dentist because of a lack of dental insurance. We need systemic changes in support of holistic patient care
