Yep, don’t let them fool you they all own 50+ acres of land and a couple potato cellars and lease it out, and then run small a small farm on their home property. They hire Mexican and Central American immigrants under the table while also calling for ICE to deport non-citizens. It’s not hypocritical, keeping it illegal and under the table allows them to underpay them, skirt regulations and hold leverage over them to get them deported if there is any dispute over wage theft or unionization or anything like that.

They won’t admit this outright. They will instead act like they are giving charity by providing jobs to these poor oppressed folks, and they just want them to come through legally and follow the rules. A fake narrative that makes them the good guy, as always.

Then they collect subsidies to burn corn or have it converted to ethanol that we dump into all the gas, effectively just burning it since this is net energy negative.

It’s the perfect position for them, everything in the world is catered to them. They are the most spoiled class of people in human history and yet they tell this story of themselves as brave, persecuted, hard-working, etc. They are overwhelmingly uneducated and ignorant as a class as well, holding reactionary crank beliefs and homeschooling and/or religiously indoctrinating their isolated kids who grow up on a farm with no other context than this fake coddled upbringing.
