To They were angry about dumb things like Trump coming up first link when you search for idiot. And, to the best of my knowledge, Google didn't change anything there with the algorithm to block that. Furthermore, they only apparently changed these names in the US (so, they're doing the bare minimum). In congress, they even ignored the official answer, and said they believed Google could track them as they moved across the room. So, I wouldn't say Google are really bending the knee, but closer to doing the bare minimum for him. Tim Cook however handed him a present (for no reason). And, Republicans seem to do nothing about Apple, despite a lot of anti-consumer behaviour (I suspect many have Apple shares). permalink fedilink source parent
