The one who left Trump's movement? Or the ones still in who could be convinced out by those who left, if someone cared about them and helped them? What good does it bring to just laught at them? How rejecting them is different from Trump's politics of rejecting all the “not like us”? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Alwaysnownevernotme@lemmy.world 4 points 19 hours ago (1 child) I mean I saw the people who "had a moment of clarity" in 2007, realized that Bush was a war criminal bring led by the nose by the defence and banking industry who ruined the country. And then suffered 0 literal 0 consequences. And I saw who they voted for 8 years later. So ya fuck em. Their broken. Built wrong. I'm not gonna give them a moment of peace or suffer their credence. I'm not gonna listen to them soft-pedal their excuses and try to limit our potentials because "It's just like what Trump would have done." If they want to come to our side I want them to lie. I want them to be so ashamed they invent a fictional reality and live in that. Because I don't want them on our side if they're talking about how they didn't know what he was gonna do. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] peacepath@lemmy.world 1 point 19 hours ago "It is their fault if they are as they are, so they do not deserve anything." Put who ever you want as the "they", it is still fascism. The society you live in seems pushing its population to think that way. But no, it is not a "natural" way of thinking. A recent post showed a study made in New York to find why maga neighborhood voted for the new mayor. The study shows how some people have clearly no political education and a very poor critical thinking capacity. You can't decently blame them for being abused, just as you can't blame the victime for the crime. They would need help, and without it they will keep "limit your potentials". permalink fedilink source parent
