Yikes. At least you got through it, and I have heard a lot about miside, never played it. Does not seem like my bottle of water personally, but I understand the appeal it has for others.
Speaking of computer maintenance, funny story that: This computer I am running is a Linux Box that was running such an old Ubuntu LTS version that it no longer received updates and the repos it pointed to no longer existed. Had to completely reinstall Ubuntu on it to get it up to speed. Nice little box though for what I use it for(which is not much). Once cooked it trying to use sddm as the display manager, had to go into recovery and uninstall it. Linux is great for the same reason it can be problematic for the inexperienced. I had enough experience to fix it, not enough to not have broken it from the outset. Better than the time a bad Linux Distro straight up broke the wireless chip in another computer then managed to make it no longer post. That computer was ready to be retired long before I ever even got it, but it was such a shame. It was an old Alienware Steam Machine.
