Every single republican voter has to have something bad happen to them personally before they'll support the opposite. Every. Single. Fucking. Time. They're incapable of thinking how it'll affect them until it does. It's really pathetic.

    Honestly I have to agree with this. My grandfather became the most solid democrat you could ever find, to the point where he actively participates in the election system during polling days and drives candidates around.

    He used to be a solid republican, but he got super burned with his retirement due to the dismantlement of the system back during I think it was the bush era(?).

    Honestly I wish he didn't go so hard core though, like he went so far down the hole he uses MS Now as his news source which is basically Fox News but for the other direction :\
