Yes it’s number 2 :3

If you know someone’s username who uses the site, it’s similar to reddit, you type /u/username and you can browse everything they post. It looks like that page is also indexed by search engines so you can find them that way as well

Personally I got into it because a particular artist I like posts in multiple places, but prefers you use that site and often links directly to it. And I kept noticing that lots of artists in my preferred style also use it. But yeah I don’t know how to actually directly browse the site itself for discovery purposes if I wanted to, from searching just now it looks like a second website exists for that express purpose but I haven’t used or vetted it so I’m not sure if it’s safe to use 3:

But in general I really enjoy the audio experience, actually I’m surprised that it’s not more common. I find it very cozy :3 I like lots of longer tracks, like up to an hour. Get yourself wrapped up in some blankets, dim the lights, and relax. There are lots of talented artists who do really good voice work, and also get really creative with sound effects. Tons of variety in style and writing (a lot of times people in the community will submit scripts).

It all also just feels very emotionally comfortable. From my experience most artists use an extensive tagging system, so you always know what you’re getting into. It’s also an artist sitting comfortably in their own space with a microphone on the other end. It feels nice to have pretty much zero possibility of being randomly exposed to upsetting exploitative content. I find it’s a lot easier to practice this type of self care if you don’t have to keep your guard up against stuff like that :3
