What would be a realistic timeline in your view?

Not a vegan but climate change is going to interrupt tf out of livestock supply chains. So while I don't see a lot of people "going vegan" I do see a lot of North Americans especially, reducing their meat consumption drastically within 20 years. Ideally we would replace those supply chains with at least sustainable options if not plant based ones.

    Due to the high price of beef I have not bought it for over three years now. I have lost the taste for it because it has been so long. Never would have thought ground beef would be more expensive (I have seen it $8-10 a pound) than a T-bone steak back in the day.

    I lived in Turkey a couple of years and found that I didn't miss pork products the way American culture and marketing implied I would. Then I realized that giving up a lot of other products wasn't such a big step. Like, i now think solidarity with mammals is a good thing, and it's way less of an adjustment than I thought. Plus being healthier and saving money is always fun.
