Strap runs inside the pocket to let you cinch contents against your leg.

It's a good idea in theory, but what could I put in there that wouldn't swing around while walking? At a certain point, your pants falling down from the weight becomes a risk.

Something like this on a belt or LBV would be awesome though. One big empty GP pouch is an underrated item in the field; one that collapses down would be very useful

Fair points. That's why I added a strap running inside the pocket to cinch contents to the leg. The fabric is also thick enough to hold its shape to some degree so it won't swing too wildly for medium weight items. But if you want a general purpose folding pouch for your belt, you can buy what is called a "dump pouch" 👍

Edit: also the pants falling down is remedied with a belt or suspenders, just like with regular cargo pants.
