So what if they're addicted? It's a (relatively) safe addiction.
If you have ADHD, depression, or chronic pain, kratom can be a lifesaver. It takes years to build a tolerance and unlike prescription opiates, there's no respiratory depression, therefore no risk of overdose.
If you want to get mad about something, get mad at the pharmaceutical industry for pushing opiates upon people when there's a much safer alternative.
The biggest risk of kratom is getting a dosage of heavy metals along with the powder, but if you buy from reputable vendors who lab test their product, it's a non-issue.
