Poor people ought not to multiply and have a good Life, since they are about to be exterminated, by wars and finally through climate Change. The rich plan to genocide us. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 12 child comments replies: [–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 1 point 7 hours ago (1 child) Same as always, don't have kids you can't afford. Younger millennial and tool until my late 20s to buy a house with my partner. I would want to be comfortable knowing I can support them as an adult as well if necessary before having them. Largest concern by far is the mortgage, nothing else even close to compared to that as an expense. Without a mortgage we could work 3 days a month each and life would be easy. I was unemployed for a long time after leaving school before I could find something. I don't know how to get away from that fear of what if I lose my job and can't find another one after a few years and my savings run out? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] derAbsender@piefed.social 1 point 4 hours ago (1 child) So you say with dont have kids you cant afford, poor people shouldnt have kids? permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] HerbGrower@slrpnk.net 1 point 3 hours ago Do you want a good life for them or not? And its probably more about stability than an absolute rich/poor number. I see plenty of people throwing money away and then complain about never having any money. Some monthly expenses I see - £250 on multiple food deliveries a week. £400 to constantly have a new car when the car they drove 3 cars ago is still working fine, while only commuting 2km to work. £80 on a phone. Stop doing that for 18 months and you have a pretty good house deposit in most of the country. permalink fedilink source parent [–] WorldsDumbestMan@lemmy.today 1 point 7 hours ago Finally...why are so many people afraid to outright say it?
