Everything in chip making needs gold...good wires to connect chips. Cold coatings to reflect this or that or prevent reactions with a gas etc. yet some idiot wears enough gold to make thousands if not millions of chips. Also people just throw away the old computer full of germanium, gold, platinum etc. there should be recycling procedures for these things.
