People who buy expensive consoles or build gaming PCs are a different cohort than people who only play cheap/old games or play on their smartphone, I think. One group has more money and more leisure time than the other, which has class implications.

The class lines aren't clean cut, I'm sure there are workers that will use their vacation time to play GTA 6, but there's a tendency.
