    Florsheim!

Look, I’m not into the intergenerational blame game.

But Donald is the most boomer of boomer-ass boomers that ever boomered.

“Back on MY day, Florsheim shoes were aspirational!”

“Back in MY day, Carter blinked versus the Iranians!”

“Back in MY day, women weren’t allowed to ask presidents questions!”

    Fuck him.

Also im gonna steal that for my folks, though not in such superlative. Only one deserves what you said. I'll work on the phrasing.

Seriously, are we not doing “phrasing” anymore?

Not that kind of phrasing. I meant like, crafting a silly thing to say

    I mean,

I’m not GenX. I’m not Millennial.

I can blame boomers for all my problems.

But one day, I’ll be the age they currently are.

And young people will say “why didn’t you do anything? This is all your fault!”

And, to some extent, it is. Despite me being, at nearly every turn, on the right side of history. I was against the Afghanistan, Iraq war. Against Donald. Against Hillary and Kamala in the primaries. Against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Against the war in Iran.

The unfortunate truth is that there are assholes in every generation. If Gen Alpha thinks they are different, I’m sorry, but no. There are vicious, pernicious assholes in your generation, too.

It’s good people versus evil. Two steps forward, one step back.

    Now and forever.

You know what sucks? If they're sized right, they're some of the most comfortable dress shoes I've worn, even moreso for the price.

I’m either having the lamest Déjà vu, or I’ve read this exact comment before. Is this a reference, or am I going crazy?

I dunno, I've been hit in the head a few times. Maybe I just repeat this every time we clown on the clowns in their clown shoes? Maybe there's other Florsheim enjoyers who wish they could go back to wearing their correctly sized comfortable shoes without a tinge of guilt by association?
