She and the Students for a Democratic Society that were members of the CPUSA attempted to overthrow the party leadership, throw out Marxism-Leninism and liquidate the party of a new type, then reform it into a mass social-democratic party that would operate as the left wing of the democratic party. She and everyone around her were never communists. They were never comrades. They were snakes in the grass wreckers that used the communist movement to their benefit and threw it away when they couldn't extract anything else.
