[–] time2lose@lemmy.world [S] 1 point 5 days ago (1 child) do you guys care? i like posting not commenting permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] Daxter101@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 5 days ago* (last edited 5 days ago) (1 child) Yeah, there is a pretty big number of new bot accounts all the time. They are most often used to post propaganda and reactionary bait, to tire people out. That's a small part of the reason reddit went to shit, it's now more bots than people. That's why you'll see many people here telling you to "act like a person". Most people here don't want Lemmy to be a place for us to just consume content. It's not about the memes. Whoever wants an unending stream of memes to pass their time, can just go to insta, and scroll to their hearts' content. The memes and the posting, are sorta meant to be part of a discussion, like posting your opinion on things, via memes. What you say, is important. Like how the comments in this post here are saying, politically, that "normal" is actually "angry", due to where we are in the world right now. Edit: Just to make it clear in case I was being negative, you posting, posting anything, whether it's things people agree with, things that are just fun, or even things people might disagree with, is great! Your mindset of bringing content in so the communities are alive, is very good! Just try to leave some time, for people to discuss the post in the comments. Talk about it with each other, make up their minds. Think about it as if every post you make, is a room. You have to let people walk in, look around, talk to each other, and leave. If you make an art gallery with 50 new rooms a day, people won't want to come see your gallery as much, because there's too much stuff, and not enough time to understand it. permalink fedilink source parent hideshow 2 child comments replies: [–] time2lose@lemmy.world [S] 1 point 5 days ago* I respectfully disagree. Majority of people are lurkers and commentators. Most don't create content. If there is no content they just go back to reddit. Memes community - yeah maybe there is already enough content, but others are just flat out 1 post a day, it's bad. permalink fedilink source parent
