the older and lucky-for-me, the more engrained into the social order (homeownership, taxes, etc) i become with its nominal stability for basic needs... the more radical left i become. because there is no reason to deprive anyone in society of these basic accomodations.

frankly, it exposes the moral/spiritual bankruptcy or egoic preoccupation of the others now around me, in similarly improved situations, who want to focus more on personally aspiring to more elaborate and luxurious consumption, rather than trying to figure out ways to leverage our enhanced positions to support the ones still held down.

im not like a religious person or metaphysically inclined like i once was, but i guess its still obvious to me that chasing luxury is truly a dead end... and i feel like those who chase it are pathetic and doomed.

I want to be taxed more. Well, I want Minnesota to tax me more anyways. The federal government can fuck itself at this point.
