I have caught the bus into the city recently, a big ol bendy boy, and I was the only one to thank the driver. When did everyone stop thanking the driver?
In my city the bus has signs asking for people to get on in front and off in back, so unless we want people shouting at the driver at every other street corner it's probably better for everyone to just get on with their day.
That's a high volume hour request, though, and when I get off in the front during low volume hours I say thanks and have a nice day or whatever.
