    They're getting spammed with the AI stuff.

    Corps who would rather have AI looking images instead of using stock photos love the AI stuff.

    I've been pushing everyone else to photopea.com which is photoshop sans-ai in the browser.

    there really is no reason. even corporate owned free affinity can read all photoshopnfiles. gimp is finally getting better but not there yet.

    I don't know about actually retouching photos, but I don't know any digital artists that have used Photoshop in a long, long time! There are a TON of alternatives for art.

    what kind if work? seriously, i hate dealing with photodhop files but every freelance artist i hire uses Photoshop

    Maybe they're sending you photoshop files because that's the 'industry standard', but that doesn't necessarily mean they're actually working in photoshop. Lots of other editors are able to read and save photoshop files.
