The idiotic Google and some other US mapping web pages changed the name of the gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America, and the world got mad at them sending emails, sending corrections, and as I understand it a lot of phone calls. So it is now only the Golf of America down in the US on those services, which is to much.

I broke and used the Google to send in a correction that day, I had been using ecosia at the time (they were still using Bing and Yahoo results at the time). Ecosia has gone down the pooper with AI crap now, which sort of defeats the purpose of what they were doing so I have switched from them to self hosting searXNG.
